What is the Corvallis Kiwanis Foundation?

It is a non-profit foundation, incorporated under the laws of the State of Oregon and approved by Kiwanis International and the members of the three Corvallis-area Kiwanis clubs: the Kiwanis Club of Corvallis, the Kiwanis Club of Corvallis Sunrisers and the Kiwanis Club of Corvallis Western Hills.  It contributes over $5,000 a year to organizations that benefit our community.

The major purposes of the foundation are:

Testamentary Gifts:

The Foundation is eligible to receive tax-exempt gifts by will or codicil.  Individuals wishing to make such as gift should first seek professional tax advice.  Use the "In Remembrance Donation" form:

Administration of the Foundation:

All donations and gifts will be administered by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation in harmony with the stated purposes in accordance with the by-laws of the Foundation.  All donated funds are invested and five percent of the assets are distributed each year, thus ensuring that funds will always be available to support and encourage worthwhile local projects and programs.  Our annual overhead is less than one percent.
