The South Corvallis Entrance Project is an on-going effort of the Kiwanis Community Services Committee. Committee members and other volunteers maintain a flower/shrub garden at the south entrance to downtown Corvallis at the Mary's River bridges on Third and Fourth Streets and the Highway 34 by-pass. The Blue Star Memorial Highway designation is a tribute to the Armed Forces that have defended the United States of America.
In 2003, Corvallis Disposal Co. donated $2,000 worth of compost which volunteers spread throughout the entrance triangle (see above).
