Kiwanis Club of Western Hills

The Kiwanis Club of Western Hills is one of three active Kiwanis clubs in Corvallis, Oregon.  It meets every Tuesday from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. at Burton's Restaurant, 119 SW 3rd Street, Corvallis.

We feel that the Kiwanis Club of Western Hills has a very meaningful and worthwhile impact on our community; and, as our limited budget permits, provides financial assistance to selected organizations.  During recent years, we have been involved in the following activities:

• Delivering Senior Meals;
• Work parties at the Vina Moses Center;
• Numerous projects at Whispering Winds Girl Scout Camp;
• Sponsoring an annual Old-Fashioned Ice-Cream Social at the Corvallis Senior Center;
• Participation in local food drives and Red Cross blood drives;
• Financial contributions to Vina Moses Center, Grace Center, Summer Reading Program, Senior Meals, Northwest Medical Teams, Quilts from Caring Hands, Boys & Girls Club etc;
• Installation of play ground equipment and other projects at Lancaster Day Care Center.

Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social

Each year, the Kiwanis Club of Western Hills sponsors an old-fashioned ice-cream social. Entertainment is provided by local musicians. Ice-cream is available at old-fashioned prices:

Seniors – FREE!

All others:
Cones - 10 cents	Lemonade - 5 cents
Cookies - 5 cents	Sundaes - 25cents

Proceeds fund projects that aid local senior citizens.
